This year Peace Lutheran collected financial and other donations to assemble and ship over 400 shoe boxes to Samaritan’s Purse for distribution to children worldwide. Boxes are filled with hygiene items (toothbrushes & toothpaste, bar soap, comps, washcloths), school supplies (pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, coloring books), accessories (t-shirts, shoes, socks, hair clips, flashlights), small toys (yo-yos, jump ropes, toy cars), and prayers for boys and girls ages 2-14.
If you are interested in helping, you can shop year-round for items to place in the boxes. There is a list of items to collect by month on the display near the narthex.
